Do you accept insurance?

I recommend contacting your Health Insurance Plan and asking them the following: 
  • Does your insurance plan cover Outpatient Mental Health Services?
  • Is a referral needed from your Primary Care Physician, or is Prior-authorization needed?
  • Is there a deductible that you need to meet before they pay for services?
  • How much do you need to pay per session after your deductible is met?
  • Is there a limit in the number of sessions per calendar year?
  • Confirm if I am considered an "In-Network Provider" for your particular health plan. 
  • If I am not, then ask if you have "Out-of-Network" benefits and what the coverage is.

Please note that insurance companies require a diagnostic code to provide reimbursement.

I am an In-Network Provider for:
  • CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield PPO, Federal & CareFirst BlueChoice
  • Lyra Health Inc (Lyra Clinical Associate) for EAP (Employment Assistance Program)

As an "In-Network Participant Provider", I will directly submit claims to the above insurance networks.  You are responsible for any deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance, No Shows & Late Cancellations Fees, as well as fees not covered by your insurance plan. 


Out-of-Network
  • For any other health insurance plans, I am considered an “Out-of-Network Provider”. 
  • You will receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your care will cost.

If your health insurance plan covers my services as an "Out-of-Network Provider", a SuperBill can be provided with the needed information for you to submit to your health insurance plan for possible reimbursement including dates of service, charges, CPT codes diagnosis, provider information and payments. 
 
Please note that as an "Out-of-Network Provider", I will not bill your insurance company directly, or accept payment directly from them. It will be your responsibility to pay me directly at the time of the session and to submit the claim to your insurance company.

When is payment due and what payments methods do you accept?

  • Payment is due at the time of service, either in full or co-payment/deductible (if I am an "In-Network Provider" in your insurance health plan).
 
  • You can pay by cash, check, or credit card. I use a secure, HIPPA compliant Practice Management System where you can make payments by credit card and/or where I can keep your credit card securely on file to be charged after every visit. 

Do  you  provide telehealth services?

  • Yes, I can provide telehealth services, when clinically appropriate, using a web-based video through an easy, secure, HIPAA compliant platform.
     
  • ​I am licensed to provide Telehealth services to clients residing in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. 

How do I schedule an appointment?

  • Initially, we will schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation to determine whether I, or another provider, would best serve your needs. You can contact me here.
 
  • As security and prompt delivery of email cannot be guaranteed, please do not include sensitive clinical information, and never use email in an emergency.

Cancellation Policy

  • A 48-hour business hour cancellation prior to the appointment is required.
  • You will be charged a full session fee for Late Cancellation & No Show appointments.
  • These are not covered by health insurance plans.
